NdufromtheClan is a creative artist and musician from Mpumalanga. She is well known for her fresh take on RnB and Soul music. Her vocal stretches through multiple genres including Deep House, Afro Soul and Afrobeat music. Her career took shape in 2016 while collaborating with artists in Eastern Cape, Port Elizabeth. NdufromtheClan emerged through her independent showcases, one of which was held at King Edward’s Hotel. She has performed in events such as the Sam Jam Sessions, Kulture Kapital, Baakens Food Truck Fridays, Imibala and Colours of You Festivals. She also identifies as an Entertainment Journalist who advocates for the development of upcoming artists.
Ndu has since gone on to perform at The Mamela Arts Festival twice, in 2018 as a backing vocalist for PoeticSoul and then gracing the stage with her own band in September 2019. While in Port Elizabeth, she also worked with Isaac Wilson and Lwaistar, Afrotronixx band, Rez Inyanzi, One Blood Productions and Miss Jay.
NdufromtheClan moved back to Mpumalanga at the beginning of 2019 and has established herself as part of an events organising group, The Hitwave Experience. There, she co-curates creative events which aim to empower upcoming artists through networking and collaboration.
She’s worked with Hip Hop artists and producers, Namethekid and Swift, pianist and composer, Lawrence Monk – the DJ fraternity, Deep McCent, Keedphonik, BlaqnKeen as well as Mnel Music and KrankyDylan. She recently launched her own official music website: ndufromtheclan.com where she publishes a variety of creative pieces which attempt to contextualize the entertainment industry to budding artists, also publishing artist biographies and suggestive ideas on cultivating sustained careers at an industry level.
On 26 June 2020 she released a debut project titled breakmyfallEP available for streaming and downloading on all official platforms. The EP was well received with one of her songs, What if I decide, airing on The Urban Exchange on Trufm. The musician has since been releasing virtual shows through the BreakmyfallEP Acoustic Series project which can be found on her Instagram and YouTube pages. She is inspired by a multitude of musicians across genres including, Fantasia, Toni Braxton, Tank, Stimela, Mirriam Makeba, Femi Kuti, Salief Keita, etc. She aims to create a mirage of music, exploring her range.

The artist advocates for collaborative work and believes that the creative industry has space now more than ever, and it is every artists’ responsibility to make sure that we continue to expand and explore – contributing to the industry’s continued growth.
