I recently released one of my rehearsal recordings as a single titled Sthandwa Sam. The song pays homage to one of South Africa’s iconic rappers – Khuli Chana, who produced a song also titled Sthandwa Sam a couple of moons ago. The song has stuck with me over the years until Lawrence Monk rearranged and I first tested it out in 2018 at the Mamela Arts Festival – you can check out the performance here.
The release was unannounced and impulsive but I am also known to hoard most of my music – so here’s to sharing more music, more often!
